MUST HAVE: Etude House Essential Mask (Aloe)

After I got gifts from my cousin in Korea. I started buying this product from Etude House. Aloe Essential Mask Sheet. I made a video of me, using the product, see for yourself how your facial skin changes in 15-20 minutes. It's very hot in the Philippines right now, so we need to sooth our face regularly and this mask could help you with that. I also use it to moisturize my face before putting make up on.  

Price: Php 58.00

Steps: 

1. Wash your face with your facial foam and dry it. 
2. Apply toner on your face, generous amount is better. 
3. Tear the packet and take out the mask. 
4. Spread and match the pattern on your face. 
5. Use the excess liquid from the sachet in massaging your neck or pour it through the mask. 
6. Let it stay for 15-20 minutes. 
7. Remove the mask and massage your face to absorb the moisturizer. 

NOTE: This isn't an overnight mask, so don't let it stay over night. It will eventually dry in a couple of minutes so you have to follow the instruction at the back of the product to get the best results.  

Lunar New Year (Seollal): Lunch at Masil Korean Charcoal Grill Restaurant

Located at Home Depot in Julia Vargas Ortigas. Me and my co-teachers in Talk to Me English had a lunch date on the 30th of January 2014 (Thursday) and I would like to share some photos of us and the food.

All in all

I really loved the service here, it's quick and the crews are very accommodating, one of the best Korean Restaurants that I'd been to. The place is cozy and relaxing. The ambiance itself makes the food more appetizing. The price is a little expensive; however, it's worth it. I would gladly be back to try other cuisines on their menu. Looking forward to coming back for more of this in the future!

Schools: Are they really the key to success?

When I was young, I'd thought of becoming a detective. I probably watched too much movies. Then, in high school, I told myself that I want to be a great film director. I thought it was the greatest achievement that I might get in the future. Still, it didn't happen. Although my major professors said that I have a lot of potential to be one.

To my surprise, I became an On-line Teacher for Koreans. In 4 years of teaching, I'm very glad to know this certain student (that I won't mention the name.) 
One day, I asked her the most common question. "What do you want to be in the future?" Her answer impressed me.

"I want to be a teacher." she said, I replied, "Why?" 
"Because, I want to change Korean's perspective about education and about life."

I normally ask this question and get the same answer. But not the same reason.

She said, "Most Koreans believe that entering a very good school is the way  to succeed in life. If I become a teacher, I would encourage my students to work harder, and not to study harder. Having a good support system, love, and peace of mind would lead them to positivity. It would give them confidence to achieve their dreams, regardless of the school they choose to study. I don't believe that schools is they key to a bright future, but you yourself alone would decide where you want to go and what you want to achieve. Teachers and parents always tell us, that if we don't graduate from a very good university, we won't succeed in life. I know that I have to study hard and get into a very good school to be able to achieve my dream, but once I've done it, I will do my best to share and inspire students to become a better person than to be a good student alone. I want to be a teacher not because I want to teach; it's because I want to change people's lives. I want them to believe that schools don't decide for their future." 

After the discussion, I found myself thinking deeply, how shallow I am as a person.
